Well now that we have our perfect baked rice, what should we pair it with?… Enchiladas, savory Swedish meatballs, or maybe add it to some stuffed peppers.  The possibilities are endless.  I’m thinking tangy, but not too tangy; sweet, but not too sweet…yeah, I’m talking Maple Glazed Pork Chops.  Usually my husband doesn’t go for anything sweet and sour, but he loves these!

Maple Glazed Pork Chops

Ingredients
  1. 6 boneless pork chops (thin)
  2. 2 tablespoons oil
  3. sauce
  4. ¼ cup real maple syrup
  5. 3 tablespoons ketchup
  6. 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  7. 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (may sub white vinegar)
  8. 1½ teaspoons minced garlic
  9. ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  10. scallions to garnish
  11. serve with baked brown rice
Instructions
  1. Add oil to a large skillet.
  2. Add pork chops and cook over medium-high heat 4-5 minutes on each side.
  3. In a small bowl, add all of sauce ingredients and mix together.
  4. Add to skillet and cook another 5 to 6 minutes, spooning sauce over the pork chops and turning to coat.
  5. Garnish with scallions and serve with baked brown rice.
